Beyond Pillows Etc
"Personally, I have had only good experiences shopping here. I live in Palm Beach, FL but always drop in when in L.A. For me, the value is in the fact that the pieces are not so NEW but rather reparied. I don't think it is a secret that shabby chic implies restored! Bottom line, it is a well done display and the best selection of pillows (and beyond:) that I have found! I don't know the owner but I have noticed the employees who have waited on me have (at least) claimed to have called her before agreeing to a lesser price. It is the "look" I want and Beyond Pillows does a beautiful job at an affordable price for the quality and presentation. If you are on a shoe-string budget, I have found great deals at the flea market near Fairfax and La Brea. Great for my student/actress daughter's apartment and fun for her. However, it takes time, commitment, skill and a TRUCK to take a piece from flea market to THIS. But, the prices are great and the service is do-it-yourself! I have especially enjoyed the local artists pieces I have found in the store. We are cattle ranchers and just yesterday, I held a small canvas of two bull calves I had purchased at Beyond Pillows years ago and wished I had gotten the larger one as well...both supposedly done by a private local artist. On another note, it is understood that upholstery, alterations and dry cleaning businesses will sell your item if left indifinitely. It has happened to the best of us:) APPB "
